Welcome to Skip Hire Forest Hill. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our skip hire services. By booking a skip with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.
1. Definitions

- Client: The individual or entity booking a skip.
- Skip: The container provided for waste collection.
- Booking: The process of reserving a skip.
2. Booking and Payment
To book a skip, clients must provide accurate information regarding the type and size of skip required, delivery location, and rental period. Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed upon. We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards and bank transfers. All payments are non-refundable except under the conditions outlined in our cancellation policy.
2.1 Booking Confirmation
Upon successful payment, a booking confirmation will be sent to the client via email or SMS. This confirmation will include details of the skip size, rental period, delivery date, and total cost.
3. Delivery and Collection
The company will deliver the skip to the specified location on the agreed date. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the drop-off location is accessible and suitable for skip placement. Any additional costs incurred due to inaccessible locations may be charged to the client.
3.1 Collection
Once the rental period has ended, the company will collect the skip. If the skip is not available for collection on the agreed date, additional charges may apply.
4. Use of the Skip
The client agrees to use the skip only for collecting waste materials and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. The skip must not be used for hazardous or prohibited items as outlined in section 5.
4.1 Placement
The client must ensure that the skip is placed in a location that does not obstruct public pathways, roads, or create hazards. Any damage caused to property or the skip due to improper placement will be the client’s responsibility.
5. Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited from being placed in the skip:
- Hazardous Waste: Chemicals, asbestos, batteries, paints, and other dangerous substances.
- Electronic Waste: Computers, televisions, and other electronic devices.
- Perishable Waste: Food waste that can decompose and attract pests.
- Medical Waste: Sharps, medicines, and other medical-related items.
- Bulky Items: Large furniture pieces that may damage the skip.
Including prohibited items may result in additional disposal fees and legal action.
6. Liability
The company is not liable for any damage or injury caused by improper placement or use of the skip. Clients are responsible for ensuring that the skip is used safely and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
7. Cancellation Policy
Clients may cancel their booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled delivery without incurring any fees. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the delivery date may be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the total booking cost.
7.1 Rescheduling
Clients may reschedule their booking subject to availability. Rescheduling requests should be made at least 24 hours in advance. Additional charges may apply based on the new delivery date.
8. Insurance
While the company maintains insurance coverage for the skip and its contents while in possession, it is recommended that clients have their own insurance policies to cover any potential loss or damage to their property stored within the skip.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Skip Hire Forest Hill operates. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts.
10. Amendments
The company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes via email or through our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Privacy Policy
Client information collected during the booking process is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We are committed to protecting your personal data and ensuring its confidentiality.
12. Force Majeure
The company is not liable for any failure to deliver, collect, or provide services due to circumstances beyond its control, including natural disasters, strikes, or other unforeseen events.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue to be in full effect.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the client and the company regarding the skip hire services and supersede all previous agreements or understandings.
